Last Sunday, 150 students of Irkutsk State University walked almost 15 kilometers on the ice of Lake Baikal. This was a traditional ice crossing that happens in March. This year the event brought together students from four universities of the region.
The first lecture of the 5th season of the educational project “Science Weekends”is delivered by Ekaterina Starodvorskaya, lecturer of the Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Media Communication of ISU. The topic of the lecture is “From the Real Life to the Virtual World and the Other Way Round: How Languages Benefited Us to Master the World Wide Web and What Happened after That”.
