31 августа завершилась международная летняя школа «Оценка состояний водоемов в условиях глобальных изменений»  (Lake Ecosystems under Pressure: Processes and Impacts). Школа организована Женевским университетом (Швейцария) и Иркутским государственным университетом (Россия), кафедрой водных ресурсов ЮНЕСКО при ИГУ в рамках двусторонней международной программы, содействующей развитию академических сетей и обменов между Швейцарией (Leading House) и Россией.

Цель школы: развитие сотрудничества между Швейцарией и Россией в области исследования озерных экосистем, комплексного подхода к анализу и прогнозу геологических, физических, химических, биологических и экотоксикологических процессов в озерных экосистемах под влиянием антропогенных факторов в условиях глобальных изменений.

Программа школы включала лекции, полевые практические занятия, тематические натурные исследования под руководством ведущих российских и зарубежных ученых. Участие в школе студентов, аспирантов и молодых ученых позволило им получить  теоретические знания о функционировании крупных озерных экосистем (Байкал, Женевское озеро и др.) и практический опыт участия в международных междисциплинарных исследованиях экологических проблем и рисков в ходе происходящих глобальных изменений.

– Школа оценена швейцарскими участниками, как лучшая из всех, ими посещенных. Как закономерный итог – договоренность о проведении летней школы 2016 года в Венеции, а еще через год – опять на Байкале. Также мы пришли к выводу о необходимости обмена студентами и преподавателями между биолого-почвенным факультетом ИГУ и университетом Женевы, начнем уже с 2016 года. В дальнейшем планируются и совместные научные исследования учеными биолого-почвенного факультета, НИИ биологии и университетов Швейцарии, – сказал декан биолого-почвенного факультета ИГУ Аркадий Матвеев. 

Прошедшая школа – третья и самая крупная, проводимая ИГУ в 2015 году на биостанции в Больших Котах. В ней участвовало более 60 преподавателей, аспирантов и студентов, представляющих университеты и научные учреждения Москвы, Санкт-Петербурга, Иркутска, Перми, Ярославля, Улан-Удэ и шесть зарубежных вузов: университеты Женевы, Цюриха, Лозанны, Базеля (Швейцария), университет Савойя Мон Блан (Франция), университет Киля (Германия).

С российской стороны лекции и практические занятия  провели ведущие ученые ИГУ (Николай Буднев, Аркадий Матвеев, Евгений Зилов, Сергей Рассказов, Сергей Коваленко, Дарья Бедулина), БГУ (Вячеслав Хахинов) и Лимнологического института СО РАН (Олег Тимошкин, Нина Бондаренко).

Со швейцарской стороны лекции читали профессора: Вера Славейкова, Жан-Люк Луазо, Тим Кальвеладж, Мориц Леман, Наташа Паше, Тьерри Вильмен, Вильгельм Виндхорст.
