Research Interests – quantum chemistry, reaction mechanisms of organic compounds, in particular, carried out in superbasic media.

Main scientific achievements

Within the framework of a unified approach, the processes of [1,3] -protropic rearrangement in alkenes, alkynes, azines, oximes, oxime ethers, amidoximes and O-vinyl amidoximes were studied.

Non-traditional mechanisms of prototropic isomerization of alkenes and alkynes in the presence of bases with the participation of hydroxide and alkoxide ions are considered, which allow, in particular, to explain the patterns observed during reactions using deuterated media, bases and / or substrates. Regularities are formulated that determine the direction of these transformations depending on the nature of the heteroatom center.
