Abstract
The materials of authors from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Moldova on the diversity and importance of botanical gardens as interdisciplinary resources in the modern world are presented. Methodological recommendations on the selection of an assortment of woody and herbaceous plants for urban landscaping are given. The practical experience of applying new approaches to mapping green spaces is described. Data on various aspects of working with visitors to botanical gardens are presented. It is intended for employees of botanical gardens and arboretums, landscape designers, architects, specialists in the field of education and eco-education.
