Since 2010, Round University Ranking has been compiling information on key performance indicators of more than a thousand leading universities of the world into a final ranking. The research toolkit is represented by the World University Rankings and Subject Rankings.
RUR rankings are fully based on InCites – the evaluation and comparative analysis system for scientific research by Thomson Reuters. The raw data for the ranking are provided within the framework of a special annual study conducted by Thomson Reuters – the Global Institutional Profiles Project. In total, there are 20 indicators divided into four groups: Teaching, Research, International Diversity and Financial Sustainability. The first two groups receive a maximum of 40 percent each, the latter two – 10 percent each. The final methodology also includes the weight of each of the 20 indicators.
Round University Rankings contains all the indicators used in the Times Higher Education (THE) world ranking, with the exception of the indicator “Industry Income”.
