Denis Axenov-Gribanov, Candidate of Sciences in Biology and a graduate of the personnel reserve programme of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, has been appointed as the new Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation at Irkutsk State University (ISU).
Denis Viktorovich Axenov-Gribanov graduated from ISU in 2011. Completed postgraduate studies at ISU specializing in Ecology and defended his Candidate’s dissertation in 2013. Worked at ISU Research Institute of Biology from 2009 to 2020.
- Head of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and the Laboratory of Experimental Neurophysiology at ISU Research Department since 2020. Both laboratories are part of the Interregional Scientific and Educational Centre “Baikal”;
- Twice a recipient of scholarships from the Vladimir Potanin Foundation (individual educational trajectory) and a multiple winner of grant competitions;
- Project leader for three Russian Science Foundation projects;
- Expert of the Russian Science Foundation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Federal Research Centre for Projects Evaluation and Consulting Services, the Directorate of State Scientific and Technical Programmes;
- Graduate of the Skolkovo School of Management programme “University Management. Universities of the Future”;
- Author of over 50 scientific articles indexed in the Russian Centre of Scientific Information (RCSI) white list journals, 200 scientific works indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), holder of 5 patents.
