“The bulletin of Irkutsk State University. Series «Mathematics»” has been assigned to the second quartile (Q2) in the international Web of Science database.

Clarivate Analytics has published the data on Journal Impact Factor included in the Web of Science database Journal Citation Reports 2025. The Journal Citation Reports database contains detailed information about each journal listed in the Web of Science, including key bibliographic data. According to these data, the journal “The bulletin of Irkutsk State University. Series «Mathematics»” had 157 citations in 2024, with a Journal Impact Factor of 0,8 in the category “Mathematics”, maintaining its position in the second quartile (Q2), as it did in 2023.

It is worth noting that the Journal Impact Factor is calculated based on the annual number of citations of articles published over the previous two years.

Furthermore, according to the updated Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR) ranking, which is primarily based on the international Scopus database, the journal “The bulletin of Irkutsk State University. Series «Mathematics»” has been included in the first quartile (Q1) in the “Mathematics” category 2024. This places the journal among the top 25% of the best journals in the world in its subject area. Since 2021, the journal has consistently maintained its position in the second quartile (Q2) in this ranking for three years. According to the same ranking, the journal holds the first place in the Russian Federation in the subject area. A total of 20 journals published in Russia are included in the “Mathematics” ranking. Among them, only two journals (“The bulletin of Irkutsk State University. Series «Mathematics»” and “Moscow Mathematical Journal”) are included in the first quartile (Q1).

“The bulletin of Irkutsk State University. Series «Mathematics»” is indexed both in international and Russian databases. In 2019, the journal entered the Scopus database as well as the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI, WoS). The journal is also included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission (VAC) and the expert councils of the VAK have assigned the journal category K1. In 2022, the journal was included in the “White List of Journals”. According to the distribution by categories of scientific editions in the “White List”, it has been assigned the second level.
