ISU has entered the University Impact Rankings 2025 by Times Higher Education agency. The ranking evaluates the impact of universities on the development of society and the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Impact Rankings 2025 includes 2318 universities, 80 Russian higher educational institutions. ISU is listed in the 1001-1500 group.

The assessment was carried out based on 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For each university the ranking identified 4 SDGs in which the university proved to be the most effective. ISU top 4 SDGs are:

• Reduced inequalities: achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls;
• Peace, justice and strong institutions: building a just, peaceful and inclusive society;
• Decent work and economic growth: sustainable, inclusive economic growth, full-time productive employment and decent work for all;
• Partnership for the goals: global partnership to achieve all the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN Resolution.
