10 May 2025

We previously reported that ISU ranked among the top 10 Russian universities by the number of winners in the Vladimir Potanin Foundation’s competition for professors of Master’s degree programmes. Four ISU representatives became winners.

Today, we will highlight one of the winning projects. This is the work of Tatyana Usheva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Pedagogical Institute: “Interdepartmental Interaction of Specialists in Education and Social Sphere”.

Tatyana Usheva, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Psychology, a researcher of the international social and pedagogical movement aimed at creating a collective method of learning, developer of the concept of interagency cooperation based on a reflective approach, and head of the social and educational network project “Psychological and Pedagogical Class of the Pedagogical Institute of ISU”, expert of the All-Russian competition “My Country – My Russia” under the presidential platform “Russia – a Country of Opportunities”.

Project team:

Irina Fedosova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Psychology – project methodologist. She has already mastered this role in other projects. She clearly defines the principles and methods for implementing each stage of the project, can anticipate risks and analyze ways to prevent them. She has over 25 years of experience working in project teams and has been a lecturer in master’s programmes for more than 15 years. She understands the relevance and specifics of the methodologist’s function in the project.

Alyona Kibalnik, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Psychology – performs coordination functions in the project, organizes communication with project partners and manages the database.

Tatyana Usheva:

The concept foundations for redesigning the master’s programme are based on a reflective approach, which involves teaching the analysis of professional activities from multiple perspectives. This is why we need to develop reflective mentorship practices. Mentors, represented by employers, assist in joint organizational and project activities to identify current tasks of interagency cooperation, highlighting effective technologies and methods of interaction.

The employment of ISU graduates significantly impacts the workforce capacity of the region. The project “Redesign of the Master’s programme «Interdepartmental Interaction of Specialists in Education and Social Sphere»” is expected to have a positive social effect in terms of employment, as the internship placement in the field of “Psychological and Pedagogical Education,” specializing in “Social Pedagogy,” will change, allowing for partial employment of graduate students. Training highly qualified researchers in education and social sphere will allow to distribute the scientific and methodological results on the federal level.
