A most interesting publication has been released by Irkutsk State University. The author is Han Seong Jin, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Irkutsk. The book contains poetic works, notes, observations, and official speeches that shed light on Russian-Korean relations, as well as examples of document preparation and formatting.

The idea to compile his literary works into a book came to the author in the context of its publication by the university, symbolizing intercultural communication based on enduring universal human values.

The Consul General approached us with the idea of publishing the book last summer. We discussed the content and suggested that the author add a section aimed not only at linguists but also at international relations specialists. Since the Consulate has extensive diplomatic correspondence, our publication, which includes materials in two languages, will provide insight into the customary norms of official Korean language. Mr. Han Seong Jin expanded the text, and the book was printed in winter. The Consul General himself announced the publication, the book was eagerly awaited in Moscow and Vladivostok.

The book has already sparked significant interest in the first days after the release. A few copies are still available at the ISU bookstore.
