Yaroslava Ditsevich:
The Forum “Ecology of the Future” is an extraordinary platform for discussing environmental problems and finding ways to solve them with the involvement of representatives of various government and public structures. An important aspect of these discussions is the study and application of the extensive experience of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, as well as the possibility of informal open communication between all participants of nature protection activities.
The VOOP is the oldest active environmental association in the world and the first all-Russian public organization. The priorities of its activities are the preservation of Lake Baikal and other unique ecosystems, maintenance of biodiversity, as well as creation of a favorable environmental and social situation in the country.
