Elena Fedotova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy of the ISU Pedagogical Institute, spoke at the Forum of Universities of Northeast Asia in China with the report “Transformation of the Russian higher education system in the context of modern challenges”. This is an international academic conference, which is held by Liaoning University jointly with Korea Institute for Advanced Study.

In my report, I highlighted the key problems of the higher education system of Russia, the peculiarities of the formation of modern educational policy, the principles and directions of further transformation of the higher education system in Russia. During the discussion, an in-depth productive discussion took place on the modernization of higher education and the integration of talents into the field of science and technology. The experience of foreign colleagues in this matter is very interesting and may prove useful in the future.
During the visit, a meeting was held on cooperation and exchange between Liaoning University and the Pedagogical Institute of Irkutsk State University in the field of joint training, research projects and international scientific conferences.
This year it’s the 13th time the Forum of Universities of Northeast Asia was held. Its main task is to strengthen interuniversity cooperation in the region. About 100 scientists, lecturers and specialists from enterprises from around the world took part in the Forum.
