The ranking includes 600 educational institutions from ten member states. Among Russian universities, ISU took 75th place (rank 301-350 in the general list).
The Association of Rating, Ranking and Other Performance Evaluations Makers prepared a Pilot Ranking for BRICS universities 2024. The final list includes 600 educational institutions from ten countries: Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates
The ranking is based on the model of the international ranking “Three Missions of the University”, taking into account the characteristics of the BRICS countries. The coefficients of the indicators have been calibrated: now weight of the criteria “student victories in international student competitions” increased and “budget to number of students ratio” reduced. For the first time, a parameter “Joint publications with BRICS partners” was used.
Peking University, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Tsinghua University became the leaders of the BRICS universities ranking. ISU is ranked 301-350th in the general list.
Another university from Irkutsk, INRTU is ranked 91th among Russian universities (351-400 in the general list). In total 161 Russian universities were included in the ranking. Many educational institutions in the ranking is from China (207 universities).
