On April 26th the Interuniversity Phonetic Competition “Again looking for the union of magic sounds, feelings and thoughts”, dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin, was held at ISU Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Media Communication (IPFLMC).
The competition consisted of three stages:
- Homework – expressive recital of a self-selected stanza from the novel in verse “Eugene Onegin”;
- Sight reading of the proposed poem;
- Dubbing a video clip.
Based on the results of the competition, the winners and prize-winners in four categories were determined:
In the category “Russian language courses and preparatory faculties students (far abroad)”

In the category “3-4 courses of Bachelor's and Master's degree Students (far abroad)”
I place — Park Chaewon, South Korea, ISU IPFLMC;
II place — Cui Mengxuan, China, ISU IPFLMC;
III place —Mamaer Bolatihan, China, ISU IPFLMC.
In the category “Bachelor's and Master's degree students from CIS countries and near abroad”
I place — Serdarova Kamila, Turkmenistan, ISU IPFLMC;
II place — Baykabilova Nigina, Uzbekistan, ISU IPFLMC;
III place — Myradova Jeren, Turkmenistan, ISU IPFLMC.
