The course of online lectures for Russian and Chinese students “Russia and China: Cultural and Language Exchange” was held for the fourth time at the ISU International Institute of Economics and Linguistics.
The course is organized within the framework of an agreement signed between Irkutsk State University and Nanjing Normal University of Special Education of Jiangsu Province (Nanjing, China).
Wang Dong, Director of the Linguistic Institute of Nanjing Normal University of Special Education:
“The event undoubtedly plays a positive role in improving the humanistic qualities of students, in strengthening cultural and traditional exchanges between countries, as well as in developing friendly relations between universities. Moreover, using the online platform, students can fully acquire new knowledge, learn something new from each other and strengthen friendly relations between students and teachers of our universities.”

“I hope for further cooperation with the Nanjing Normal University of Special Education in conducting joint seminars, lectures, as well as in student exchange. I also sincerely hope that summer schools will be opened on the basis of our subdivisions in the nearest future.”
Within the three-day course, teachers of the Department of Linguistics and Linguodidactics of the ISU IIEL gave online lectures in English and Chinese about Irkutsk, Russian language and Russian holidays. Teachers of the Linguistic Institute of the Nanjing Normal University of Special Education gave lectures in which they talked about Nanjing, about certain grammatical problems of the modern Chinese language and rules of reading ancient Chinese poems.
More than 70 people took part in the online course "Russia and China: Cultural and Language Exchange": students of the ISU IIEL studying Chinese and students of the Linguistic Institute of the Nanjing Normal University of Special Education studying Russian.
