Irkutsk State University hosted a meeting of the University Rector Alexander Schmidt and young scientists of the University. 

At the meeting, the Rector awarded certificates of Fund for Strategic and Innovative Development of the Irkutsk Region scholarship recipients to ISU young scientists.

Recall that at the end of 2022 the results of the competition for a scholarship of the Fund for Strategic and Innovative Development (project office of the Research and Educational Center “Baikal”) was summed up in the Irkutsk region. The main condition of the competition was the existence of scientific research and development in the priority directions of the REC “Baikal”: complex processing of wood, of industrial waste or agrobiopharmatechnologies. 80 young scientists of the Baikal region, including 19 ISU researchers, were named winners. Each of them has been allocated 50,000 rubles.

This January, the certificates of the fellows were given to the Heads of Universities and Research Institutes, researchers of which were awarded scholarships, at a meeting with Ruslan Sitnikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region. At the meeting, he noted that "science is first of all people, so the Government of the Irkutsk region supported the Foundation's initiative to create additional incentives for young scientists in the form of a scholarship."
