ISU students took part in the Korean Studies Quiz. The organizers of the contest are going to widen the scale of the event to an interuniversity level next time.
The first game was opened by Prof. Alexander Schmidt, ISU Rector. Welcoming the participants, the head of the University highlighted the educational mission of intellectual contests, as well as its significant contribution to the development of personal intellectual potential, and dissemination of knowledge among young people.
Kim Se Woon, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Irkutsk, was the guest of honor at the game. In his speech he noted that the format of exploring Korea provided by the "What? Where? When?" is very important in terms of learning the Land of the Morning Calm. The head of the diplomatic mission praised the level of preparation of the event and expressed his hope to hold it annually.
