Irkutsk State University took 51st place in the ranking of best universities in Russia in the field of Engineering and Technology. The ranking is compiled by the RAEX agency with the support of the Andrey Melnichenko Foundation.
The universities are assessed based on the analysis of statistical indicators and the results of online surveys of the following target groups: students and alumni, representatives of the academic and scientific communities, representatives of employers. Along with statistics, data from a questionnaire survey of universities and information from open sources are used.
Konstantin Grigorichev, ISU Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation: "Research in the field of Astrophysics is one of the priority directions to develop ISU scientific activity. ISU focuses on it and other 3 scientific areas to increase its indicators. Positions in the RAEX ranking show the correctness of this choice."
The three leaders in the ranking are the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and the National Research Nuclear University MEPHI.
