During the meeting the members of the delegation and ISU Rector discussed the possibilities of cooperation, in particular, widening collaboration in the field of academic mobility, direct interuniversity contacts, programs aimed at studying Russian language. The topics connected with the prospects of Hungarian students' participation in the summer events held by ISU on Lake Baikal and ideas to hold a series of thematic events for ISU students, dedicated to the history and culture of Hungary and Russian-Hungarian cooperation were touched upon as well.
Hungarian students and lecturers annually take part in the ISU summer schools of Russian language, study Russian as a foreign language. ISU researchers in collaboration with Hungarian colleagues run a project “Socio-cultural aspects of the adaptation of captured prisoners of war (on the example of Austro-Hungarian prisoners of war in Siberia and Russian prisoners of war in Austria-Hungary in World War I)”.
