The sportsmen of ISU Sport Club successfully participated in the Irkutsk region championship. The event took place in the middle of November. The best athletes from Irkutsk, Bratsk, Chita, Ulan-Ude and Borsya came to compete with each other.
ISU students did their best in the “Kumite” fight (free-style karate training).
Mr. Osseni Modukpe Mohamed Houd, a freshman from Benin, and Mr. Andian Amsheev, a master degree program student, both studying at the Institute of Philology, Foreign languages and Media communication, proved their strength and won the highest prizes – gold medals. Good results were shown by Maksim Timofeev, a master degree program student of the Faculty of Psychology, he took the 3 place among the athletes under 75 kg.
