Ms. Anastasia Matveeva, a first year student of History Faculty, has finished the educational program under the Hirosaki University summer school, which took place online from June 1 to July 30.
Anastasia is a student of International Relations department. As other students of this major, she wanted to take part in the international exchange program. This year she has grasped the opportunity to realize her ambition by being a participant of an online educational internship.
The Hirosaki University summer school program included three focus areas: Linguistics, Traditions and the History of Japan and Modern Culture. The lectures in English and Japanese were delivered to students as well as a bright virtual tour of Northern Japan was presented. Despite the online form of the event, it contributed a lot to close communication between Russian and Japanese students.
Ms. Anastasia Matveeva managed to pass the final test and demonstrate her progress. Each of the participants will receive a certificate of completion of the summer courses at Hirosaki University.
Ms. Matveeva comments on:
"The Summer School held by Hirosaki University gave me an essential chance to study the culture, history and linguistic features of Japan. I suppose it’s better to get the information from the native speakers to deepen the knowledge in subject you are interested in. That is why it’s a substantial contribution to develop my future research topic".
