One of the world's largest corporations, HUAWEI, provided financial support for successful students of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technology of ISU.

Six students of IMIT ISU, who showed the greatest achievements in programming competitions, were awarded personal scholarships for a period of one year. In addition, HUAWEI financially supported the participation of 12 IMIT ISU students in the Discover Baikal sports programming training camp held in September-October 2021, and participation of two teams of the institute in the semifinals of the team International Student Programming Olympiad, North Eurasia Region (ICPC NERC).

— Excellent students of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of ISU for the first time received not only large-scale financial support from the giant of the IT industry, but also the opportunity of internship in the HUAWEI Research Center. Thus, after graduating from the institute, our students will receive really elite IT-education. The purpose of the financial support of HUAWEI is to encourage students of IMIT ISU to participate in competitions and get success, as well as to stimulate the study of modern trends in IT technologies, improve their qualifications as specialists, and form a holistic view of the current challenges of the modern IT Industry. HUAWEI and ISU signed a cooperation agreement in September 2021.
