Irkutsk State University has been ranked 53rd by the “Interfax” group in the annual National Ranking of Universities.
Universities’ activity was evaluated in accordance with several indicators: Educational activity, Scientific research, Social environment, Internationalization, Brand, Innovations and Technology Entrepreneurship.
Among 337 leading Russian universities (including 29 national research universities, 10 federal universities, 33 flagship universities, 21 universities - members of 5-100 Project, 1 national research center) ISU was ranked 45-46th by “Education” criterion. ISU improved its positions (last year it took 53-54 place). This ranking is based on following indicators: number and variety of educational programs (Bachelor and Specialist), organization of student’s practical training as well as guidance for prospective students.
ISU has also improved its positions in such categories as “Internationalization” (number of international students, number of educational programs taught in foreign languages, collaboration work in research activities, etc), “Innovations and Technology Entrepreneurship” (number of patents, specialized departments of university, innovation infrastructure, cooperation with High-Tech Companies, etc) and “Brand” (e.g. set of corporative values).
