On July 10th Irkutsk State University held the Graduation Ceremony-2020. The live broadcast was available in official accounts of Irkutsk State University in “VK” social network.
ISU Acting rector, Prof. Alexander Schmidt welcomed alumni.
“You’ve have managed to do it, you have passed all the examinations and defended your research projects. I’m sure you’ve obtained not only knowledge in different fields of study. The main thing ISU has provided you with is a learning skill: I think that you realize that learning is a never-ending process: life-long learning, and searching for new information, analyzing and using it in any activities. This is the feature that distinguishes you from other universities’ alumni.
Let me congratulate you and your parents on reaching this important life frontier. I have pleasure to express my gratitude to your lecturers who did their best and contributed to your personal and professional development a lot.
I hope you will keep only kind memories about the study at ISU. And I want to assure you that you are always welcome to come to your alma-mater again as master-degree students, post graduate students, faculty members or partners. We are always happy to meet you and cooperate with you. Once again, I congratulate you and wish you good luck!”
ISU Students’ Union leader, Ms. Margarita Tsyganova, congratulated alumni as well. She mentioned that ISU is always ready to support alumni.
“Visit your department, your university, communicate with your lecturers. Sometimes you can do it not only because of a holiday, but without any reason. Please, always remember that you are ISU alumni and be proud of it.”
