Economic Cooperation in the Age of COVID-19 Pandemic and Afterwards

The Contest for Best Project in English language at ISU International Institute of Economics & Linguistics has finished. Irkutsk students as well as young people from other Russian regions became participants of this event.

The contest was organized by the Department of Oriental Languages of the International Institute of Economics & Linguistics in collaboration with Korean Centre under the International Institute of Economics & Linguistics. The main theme of the contest: “The Russian Federation and North-East Asia countries: Economic Cooperation in the Age of COVID 19 Pandemic and Afterwards”.

Creator-owned projects were presented by participants in the form of report and presentation that covered issues of current economic cooperation, problems that have arisen as a result of COVID 19 Pandemic as well as ways and opportunities of recovery of the economic ties and flows between Russia, China, Korean Republic and Japan.

“The topics of projects are time-sensitive.  The interest that was expressed by the students shows the involvement of young people in modern processes of globalization. In addition, all projects were presented in English language to be correlated with the mission of the International Institute of Economics & Linguistics to bring the educational process closer to international standards with the purpose of alumni’s competitiveness increasing.” – Eugenia Kolodina, head of the Department of Oriental Languages of the International Institute of Economics & Linguistics and head of the Korean Centre under the International Institute of Economics & Linguistics, commented on. 

Daria Tkacheva, a student from Blagoveshchensk, won the contest. The second and third places were awarded to the 2nd year students of the International Institute of Economics & Linguistics –  Eseniya Kulakova and Eugeny Abramov.
