From the very beginning of COVID-19 virus crisis in Russia, a special support is given to ISU foreign students, who stay in Irkutsk. The University provides this assistance in collaboration with ISU Students’ Union and partner organizations.
- “The lockdown regime and distance learning became a new challenge for the majority of students and lecturers. Foreign Students in Russian Higher Education Institutions have been in a weaker position. Irkutsk State University has not ignored this problem and provided the assistance for foreign students who stayed at the dormitory.” – Prof. Konstantin Grigorichev, ISU Vice Rector for Research and International Cooperation, commented on.
Meals were organized for ISU International Students as well as finance assistance. Food packs, essential household items, personal protective equipment (face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers) were delivered to students.
