invites to participate in

INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

DYNAMIC SYSTEMS,
OPTIMAL CONTROL AND MATHEMATICAL MODELLING,

dedicated to the 100th anniversary of mathematics education in the Eastern Siberia and
to the 80th birthday of Professor Oleg V. Vasiliev

In 1919, the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Irkutsk State University was opened, and that marked the beginning of the 100-year history of the mathematics education and basic mathematical research in the Eastern Siberia.

On November 1, 2019, the founder of the Irkutsk School of Optimal Control, the first director of the Institute of Mathematics, Economics and Informatics of Irkutsk State University, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation – Professor Oleg Vladimirovich Vasiliev (1939-2002) – would have turned 80 years old.

This International Symposium is devoted to these two memorable dates, and we expect it to become an international forum for discussion of a variety of fundamental mathematical problems within the framework of the triad "dynamic systems – optimization – mathematical modelling of processes and phenomena".

A wide range of diverse issues is planned for discussion at the symposium:

• qualitative analysis of diverse equations describing dynamic processes (including differential, integral, integro-differential, differential-algebraic, integro-algebraic, functional-differential, operator, stochastic, and difference equations);
• inverse and ill-posed problems for equations and systems;
• analytical and numerical methods for solving equations and related issues;
• necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality, methods for solving optimization problems;
• new approaches and methods of decision-making under uncertainty and/or conflict;
• controllability and stability of dynamical systems with related issues;
• mathematical modelling of natural processes and phenomena;
• mathematical modelling for a wide range of technical, informational, economic, environmental, biological, and medical problems.

Roundtable:
The role of mathematical and computer modelling in the design of strategies for sustainable development of the Baikal region

PUBLICATIONS
Before commencement of the symposium, a collection of accepted abstracts will be made available electronically to all participants on the official website of the Irkutsk State University.
After the symposium, and basing on an assessment of the presentations actually delivered, it is planned to publish a collection of detailed papers in English, with indexation in the Scopus.
Selected presentations will be also published as full-sized papers in the special issue of the journal «The Bulletin of Irkutsk State University: Series Mathematics» (http://mathizv.isu.ru/en), abstracted and indexed in ZbMATH, Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), MathSciNet, Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, DOAJ, Math-Net.ru, eLIBRARY.RU, VINITI, CrossRef, WorldCat, CyberLeninka (application for indexing in Scopus is submitted and being revised).
All materials submitted to the conference should not be published elsewhere.
Requirements for abstract preparation and submission will be published in the Second Announcement.
