The first day of study for two and a half thousand students of Irkutsk State University started at the Irkutsk musical theater. The celebration started with the student anthem “Gaudeamus” performed by the ISU Youth Choir. Then there was a speech of ISU Rector, professor Alexander Arguchintsev.
ISU Rector, professor Alexander Arguchintsev introduced rector's office members, faculties and institutes deans to students. Art groups of the ISU Center for Culture and Social Activities made a bright performance.
