On March 17-19 Irkutsk State University took part in the exhibition in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). The exhibition welcomed over 1300 school-leavers from Ulaanbaatar, Darkhan and Erdenet. 13 Russian Universities presented their programs and courses.

The opening ceremony started with the speech delivered by Iskander Azizov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia. Then the Deputy Speaker of Mongolia's State Great Khural, L.Tsog addressed the guests. L.Tsog graduated from Law department of Irkutsk State University as ISU was the first higher education institution in Eastern Siberia to start training Mongolian students.

– ISU presented information in Russian, English and Mongolian languages, we were asked many questions by school-leavers and their parents. Mongolian school-leavers are interested in studying humanities, social sciences and economics, – Dmitry Matveev, the head of the ISU admission office, noted.
