At the end of December ISU Rector Prof. Alexander Arguchintsev had an informal meeting with local mass media representatives to reflect on 2015 accomplishments.
The rector told journalists about the main developments in research sphere: in 2015 ISU scientists were awarded 48 grants. Moreover, at the end of the year there was taken a decision to extend the grant for the construction of the gamma ray observatory TAIGA.
Alexander Arguchintsev mentioned such accomplishments as the construction of a new building to host the ISU Scientific Library, he also commented on the contest for the status of a leading regional university launched by the Ministry of Education and Science.
