The results of Oxford Russia Fund scholarship program have been announced. 20 ISU students have become the winners: 19 master-degree students and 1 post-graduate student specializing in archaeology, history, political science, sociology, law and economics.
The applicants should have demonstrated their strength in research activity and participation in different projects, conferences as well as high academic performance. The most essential thing was to present an individual research project and publications.
In September 2015 140 ISU bachelor students were announced to be awarded with Oxford Russia Fund scholarships at the official ceremony. The special guests to the ceremony were Alastair Tulloch, the ORF secretary and trustee, John Nightingale, the ORF trustee, and Alla L. Sergievskaya, the head of the Oxford Russia Fund Office in Russia. In her speech Alla Sergievskaya emphasized that ISU students annually demonstrated high results.
ISU students of the humanities and social sciences faculties have applied for the ORF scholarships for 10 years. The program itself is aimed at stimulating students to perform high academic results and to be actively engaged in conducting research projects.
