10 undergraduate and post-graduate students are announced to be awarded with the Irkutsk region governor's scholarship. The list of scholarship winners includes 60 students of regional Universities.
ISU post-graduate students - Ivan Kolokolnikov (History faculty), Svetlana Novikova (Geography faculty) and Eugene Protasov (Biology and Soil studies faculty) are to be awarded with 70 000 roubles. Annually above 50 post-graduate students apply for the scholarship, but only 10 of them succeed.
– In their application post-graduate students are required to demonstrate high academic performance: publications, patents, etc. Also examination results are taken into account. That is why the winners are those students to have good results both in eduction and science, and our University can be proud of them. The winners are promising and talented students. They have much to do to advance science, I think, - Zinaida Kiseleva, the post-graduate department head comments on.

Irina Kravchenko, Institute of Social Sciences,
Arina Krushevskaya, Institute of Social Sciences,
Natalia Lazareva,Physics faculty,
Anna Morozova, Physics faculty.
- Annually we organize a special contest. There are many things to consider: academic performance, results of research work, etc. The Commission examines all the applications and recommends the best students to apply for governor's scholarship, - Alexey Vokin, the acting Vice-rector for education explains.
