The Irkutsk classic university rose 10 points in the rating of the best universities in BRICS. 

The Irkutsk State University, the only university in the Angara region, was once again ranked among the best universities in BRICS. Comparing to last year’s result (141-150 position), this year ISU have risen 10 points. 

The study of universities in Brazil, India, China and South Africa is published by the independent consulting agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The assessment criteria include teaching, research, internationalization, and graduates’ job prospects. When preparing the rating, QS considers number of publications by lecturers, lecturers-students ratio, percent of foreign lecturers and students, etc. 

QS University Ranking is considered one of the most reputable global researches in this sphere.
