The school-conference "Urgent Problems of Chemical Physics and Theoretical Chemistry" jointly organized by the Irkutsk State University and the St. Petersburg Kurchatov’s Institute of Nuclear Physics took place on July 25-29, 2022 in the village of Bolshiye Koty, Lake Baikal.
The first phase of the project has been completed, and the preliminary results have allowed to select the plants that are most effective for purifying aquatic environments from metals and phenols and promising to develop a purification technology.
Joint research of ISU quantum chemists in collaboration with synthetic chemists from the Irkutsk Institute of Chemistry (Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences) was published in the Journal of Organic Chemistry.
