ISU takes part in a large Japanese-Russian Project

ISU welcomed the delegation from Kanazawa University (Japan) headed by President Koetsu Yamazaki.
Kanazawa University is one of the leading state Universities in Japan, with a special focus on developing research projects in such spheres as medicine, nano-technologies, nature science, economics, law and global studies.
First Vice-Rector Prof. Alexander Schmidt made a presentation of Irkutsk State University and made a special emphasis upon the large research projects ISU took part in. In his welcome speech Prof. Schmidt noted that Irkutsk State University is open for new joint projects.
According to the new agreement on cooperation and academic exchange ISU is invited to join the large international project “Inter-University Exchange Project (Russia)” initiated by Kanazawa University and financed by the Ministry of education, culture and sports of Japan.
