Yesterday, at Irkutsk state university the opening of the memorial plaque named after Bazaryn Shiryndev, who was a well-known Mongolian statesman and famous scientist took place. The memorial plaque was installed in the hall of the Pedagogical Institute of Irkutsk state university at Nizhnaya naberezhnaya,8. In this building at the faculty of History Bazaryn Shiryndev studied from 1937 to 1941.
Rector of Irkutsk state university Alexxander Arguchintsev, representatives of the Consulate General of Mongolia in Irkutsk – the General Consul Luvsandagva, Amarsanaa, Vice-Consul Tsetserleg Ganbaatar, Director of the Institute of astronomy and Geophysics at Mongolian Academy of Sciences Demberel Sonomama, students and teachers of the Pedagogical Institute took part in the ceremony.
– The opening of the memorial plaque today is one of the important moments, confirming our friendship and cooperation. Many members of government bodies of Mongolia as Basarin Shirendev, got their education at Russian universities, including Irkutsk state University. And it is very nice to see that these relations are preserved, – said Alexander Arguchintsev.
Consul General Luvsandagva Amarsanaa in his speech thanked the rector of Irkutsk state university, teaching staff and scientific-pedagogical staff of the University for the opportunity to eternize the memory of the Mongol scientist, and recalled the years of cooperation and told about the life of Basarana Shirahama.
