Since 1994, the faculty has been educating students in the fields of “Geology” and “Geology and Exploration”. New specialties were opened in “Geology”, “Geology and Geochemistry of Fossil Fuels”, and “Geochemistry”. In 2000, the faculty started awarding the degree of Master of Geology.

Since its inception, the faculty has graduated 4685 students.

Currently, they work in geological organizations, universities and at the Research Institutes in Eastern Siberia, Western Siberia, Yakutia, Buryatiya and the Russian Far East.
